I'm a happily married mom, who has fantasies of being with women. My husband has known this from the beginning that I am bi and is completely cool with me having a gf. Here lies the problem...finding a gf. I have expressed interest in a woman, who claims to have fantasies about me, however, it seems after I told her the feelings are mutual...she now avoids me. I have always been nervous about telling a woman how I feel about her and others finding out. I live in a small town and only a very select group of ppl know that I am bi. It is not something I am ready to explain to my kids yet. I love my husband and would never leave him for a woman. Would just like a "best friend". Not to mention, living in a small town makes it hard to meet other bi or lesbian women. Where do you look?

Snap!! I have exactly the same experience, I usually fancy women I come into contact with on a regular basis rather than a casual hook up but live and work in a small town/community. Not out due to kids but Hubby is very supportive and doing all he can to help but there is a limit to how much he can do to assist!!
Ther seem to be loads of lesbians looking for love and relationships but I am already in a very happy loving and long term marriage, I am looking for a friend who wants the occasional hook-up to satisfy the bi in both of us.
It doesn't seem unusual on here but trying to find someone near to where you live is a bit of a challenge!
I am going along to a bi-sexual support group meeting in Brighton (England) the second Saturday in the month at the Red Roaster Cafe, if anyone local is reading this I'd be happy to say Hi on at the next meeting??
I'd love to hear how some of you have coped with this?

Wow! I have the exact same predicament! It's nice to hear that others have he same issues and are willling to talk about it. I like the idea of going to an established social network but for me... I have NO idea where that would be. Is there a site to go to that has listings for local gatherings like that?

Not so freaky... Small towns are not a rich place to find bi female friends. I would suggest you see if there are any organizations in a larger centre nearby where you can tap in to an established social network. Email me if you'd like to discuss this with someone who has already been there.
